BERAT.
Weight you can feel. Heavyweight cotton jerseys and tanks, cut oversized and built for the heat. Heat is not an excuse for thin fabric.
Born in a Kajang shophouse with one heat press and a complaint about thin fabric. Still here, still small, still printing twelve minutes from the studio.
Not a big brand. Not yet. We started because we couldn’t find a tee that felt heavy enough, sat right on the shoulder, and didn’t turn into a crop top after three washes.
So we made one. Then forty. Then a hoodie that was accidentally too thick, which turned out to be the whole point. Everything since has been an argument with ourselves about weight, fit, and how much orange is too much orange.
The first KJG.430 tee was printed in 2021, in a shophouse off Jalan Semenyih, with a heat press bought secondhand and a design that took longer than the print. Forty pieces. Most went to friends, futsal regulars, and one very supportive uncle who still wears it to the kopitiam.
The name is the postcode, more or less. 43000 is Kajang. We put it in the logo so we couldn’t pretend to be from anywhere else. Not KL, not overseas, not “inspired by the streets of” somewhere we’ve never been. Here. The traffic, the satay smoke, the afternoon rain that arrives like it has a grudge.
“Kalau nak buat, buat betul. Kalau tak, jangan.”
That’s still the rule. The jerseys and tanks are heavyweight cotton, cut oversized and tested through a Kajang Friday. We test everything in the heat, on the bike, through a downpour, and at the mamak until 1am. If it doesn’t survive the crawl, it doesn’t go on the site.
Today we work with two family-run cut-and-sew units in Selangor and a print shop twelve minutes from the studio. Small runs, local hands, no overseas warehouse. When a drop sells out, we don’t restock it — we go back to the table and try to make the next one better.
One tee, one print, sold from a booth at a friend’s barbershop. The website was a Google Form and a WhatsApp number.
The first hoodie. Accidentally 480 GSM, intentionally oversized. It became the blueprint for everything after.
Moved production into our own small space in Kajang. Still the same street, still the same fan, slightly better lighting.
Started working with two family-run cut-and-sew units in Selangor. Same patterns, same measurements, more hands.
Five pieces, including the three-colour Jailer 2 capsule, the Jerry Tuai jersey and the Muscle Loading tank. The biggest small drop so far. Same address. Same rule: kalau habis, habis.

Designed, cut, sewn and printed in Selangor. Local cut-and-sew units, a print shop twelve minutes away, money staying close to home.
Sixty units a style. No restock, no warehouse of unsold stock. If it sells out, we make the next thing better instead of making more of the same.
“Kalau nak cepat, jangan buat baju.”
If you want fast, don’t make clothes. We’re not trying to be KL’s next big thing. We’re trying to make the best jersey in Kajang, then the best tank, then maybe a jacket that survives the monsoon. Slow is the whole point.
The 430 studio
Kajang, Selangor
The studio is open by appointment, Tuesday to Saturday. Come try the fit, talk rubbish, and leave with a tee that weighs something.
